Meat and Seafood Sales Associate: Chestnut Hill

KP’s Fine Meats is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic retail associate to join our Chestnut Hill team. We’re looking for someone with a background or passion for customer service and retail operations to help maintain our high-quality products, assist in daily butcher shop tasks, and ensure a great experience for customers buying meat and seafood. The perfect candidate will be friendly, punctual, quick to learn, and comfortable in a busy, dynamic setting. A positive mindset and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

- Assist customers in selecting fresh meat, seafood, and grocery items
- Manage inventory levels and restock the meat, seafood, and dry goods cases
- Handle mobile & cash customer payments accurately
- Oversee shop setup and closing duties
- Clean equipment and work areas to uphold health and sanitation standards
- Follow food safety protocols and maintain proper temperature controls
- Stay informed about company policies and practices, and effectively communicate them to customers as a representative of our business
This part-time position offers an hourly wage based on experience, starting at $16 per hour, plus tips. Flexibility in scheduling is important, as some days may start or end earlier or later than anticipated. Please note that due to the nature of the food industry, the holiday season is particularly busy, and time off during this period may be limited.
- Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours and lift 50+ pounds from the ground
- Quick learner with a strong work ethic
- Capable of working efficiently as part of a team to maintain smooth and organized operations
- Punctual, detail-oriented, and well-organized
- Proactive communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
- Cooking experience, whether professional or personal, is a plus
- Comfortable using computers and familiar with POS systems
